Vehicle turns left into police cruiser

Another Eunice police cruiser is out of commission, this one struck by another vehicle on West Laurel on Monday night.

According to reports, a west-bound vehicle attempted to make a left turn in front of Dairy Queen, striking the east-bound police car being driven by Officer Ryan Pressburg.

Both drivers were taken to Acadian Medical Center. Pressburg was treated and released. A report on the status of the other driver, who name was not yet available, was unavailable.

Charges are pending completion of the investigation and results of toxicology tests, police said.
