Vincent William Zaunbrecher
Roberts Cove, LA –– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11 AM. at Saint Leo Catholic Church for Vincent William Zaunbrecher, Sr., 80, who died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his residence in Roberts Cove.
Fr. Kendall Faulk will celebrate the Mass and the Committal services at the Saint Leo Cemetery in Roberts Cove. Visitation may be observed on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Vincent was born January 14, 1933 in Rayne, La. He was a lifelong member of St. Leo Catholic Church, a member of the St. Leo Holy Name Society, The Church Choir and the Roberts Cove Germanfest Choir, member of American Legion. He loved playing dominos, watching old Western’s and sporting events.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Z. Forte and her husband Tom of Texarkana, AR, Stephanie Z. Vice and her husband Rusty of Roberts Cove; four sons Gregory Zaunbrecher of Alpharetta, GA, Vincent Zaunbrecher, Jr. and his wife Tracey of Roberts Cove, Patrick Zaunbrecher and his wife Kelli of Roberts Cove and Mark Zaunbrecher and his wife Milissa of Roberts Cove; a brother Steve Zaunbrecher of Roberts Cove and a sister Delores Z. Habetz of Roberts Cove; fourteen grandchildren Chris Tassin, Kyle Zaunbrecher and his wife Amber, Shane Zaunbrecher, Blanche Z. Hernandez and her husband Kenneth, Valerie Z. Keaton and her husband Doug, Jeron Abshire, Catherine Zaunbrecher, Victoria Zaunbrecher, Christine Zaunbrecher, Alan Zaunbrecher, Madelyn Zaunbrecher, Jacob Vice, William Vice, and Nikolaus Vice; five great-grandchildren Hayden Hernandez, Cooper Carey, Heath Hernandez, Grace Zaunbrecher and Caroline Keaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Bertha Dischler Zaunbrecher; his wife Genevieve Parrino Zaunbrecher; a sister Jane Leleux and two brothers, Rev. Charles Zaunbrecher and Billy Zaunbrecher.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Zaunbrecher, Vincent Zaunbrecher, Jr., Patrick Zaunbrecher, Mark Zaunbrecher, Tom Forte, Rusty Vice ,Darryl Zaunbrecher and Brian Zaunbrecher. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Zaunbrecher, Chris Tassin, Jeron Abshire, Allan Zaunbrecher, Quentin Zaunbrecher, Shane Zaunbrecher, Cody Duhon, Jacob Vice, William Vice, Nikolaus Vice, Kenneth Hernandez and Doug Keaton.
