VP Police report 28 arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department reported 28 arrests between April 6, and April 14.

Arrested were the following:

•Calvin Leday, 25, 701 E. Long St., Ville Platte, was charged April 6, with aggravated assault by Officer Chateuse Richard. Leday was released on a $2,500 bond.

•Jonas Rideau, 36, 1381 Fruge St., Ville Platte, was charged April 4, with no driver’s license, improper parking and simple possession of marijuana. Rideau was released on a $2,700 bond.

•Shamus Leday, 29, 715 Court St., Ville Platte, was charged April 4, with disturbing the peace by Officer Jacob Dupre. Leday was released on a $200 bond.

•Brenda Leday, 46, 707 Project St., #118, Ville Platte, was charged April 4, with disturbing the peace by Officer Tyler Tate. Leday was released on a $200 bond.

•Randy Jack, 34, 506 E. Beauregard St., Ville Platte, was charged April 8, with curfew violation and resisting an officer by flight by Officer Tyler Tate. At press time, Jack remained incarcerated on a $3,450 bond.

•Charles Skinner, 41, 149 Watson Lane, Opelousas, was charged April 8, with curfew violation and resisting an officer by flight by Officers Brady LaPoint and Jessica LaBorde. At press time, Skinner remained incarcerated on a $950 bond.

•Edward S. Ardoin, 27, 1031 Jeffery Ave., Ville Platte, was charged April 8, with driving the wrong way on a one-way, open container and DWI by Officer Rod Soileau. At press time, Ardoin remained incarcerated on a $1,150 bond.

•Henry Pitre, 40, 405 N. Coreil St., Ville Platte, was charged April 6, with aggravated assault by officers Jamie Vidrine and John Bass. Pitre was released on a $2,000 bond.

•Davis Lavine, 43, 215 Demoruelle St., Ville Platte, was charged April 9, with theft of goods by Officer John Bass. Lavine was released on a $500 bond.

•Rena West, 23, 619 Young St., Ville Platte, was charged April 10, with driving under suspension by Officer Tammy Bonnette. West was released on a $1,300 bond.

•Judy Arvie, 38, 601 W. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged April 13, with curfew violation by Officer Jonathan Sparks. Arvie was released on a $200 bond.

•Terrance Jones, 30, 601 W. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged April 10, with disturbing the peace by Officer Nathaniel Savoy. Jones was released on a $200 bond.

•Donald Durgin, 33, 123 E. Washington St., Ville Platte, was charged April 11, with simple battery by Officer Tyler Tate. Durgin was released on a $500 bond.

•Clyde Fontenot, 53, 121 Daisy Lane, Ville Platte, was charged April 12, with disturbing the peace by intoxication by Officer Tammy Bonnette. Fontenot was released on a $200 bond.

•Jody Charlie, 36, 516 E. Main St., Ville Platte, was charged April 11, with remaining after being forbidden and misrepresentation during booking by Officer Tyler Tate. Charlie was released on a $500 bond.

•Ronald W. Smith, 55, 806 N. Latour St., Ville Platte, was charged April 10, with driving under suspension by Officer Jacob Dupre. Smith was released on a $500 bond.

•Tyrone Thomas, 23, 216 E. Jefferson St., Ville Platte, was charged April 10, with no seatbelt and driving under suspension by Officer Tyler Tate. Thomas was released on a $700 bond.

•Savannah Maricle, 18, 1984 L’anse Aux, Ville Platte, was charged April 11, with open container by Jessica LaBorde. Maricle was released on a $200 bond.

•Martin Doucet, 34, 1200 W. Beech St., Ville Platte, was charged April 12, with no turn signal, no driver’s license in possession and DWI by Officer Chateuse Richard. Doucet was released on a $750 bond.

•Virginia Poullard, 43, 1327 MLK, Ville Platte, was charged April 12, with curfew violation and drug paraphernalia by Officer Jonathan Sparks. Poullard was released on a $2,000 bond.

•Davis Lavine, 43, 215 Demoruelle St., Ville Platte, was charged April 11, with simple battery by Officer Allen James. Lavine was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Lashonda Patin, 20, 102 E. Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged April 13, with curfew violation by Officer Tammy Bonnette. At press time, Patin remained incarcerated on a $200 bond.

•Precious Thomas, 18, 505 S.W. Railroad St., Ville Platte, was charged April 13, with curfew violation by Officer Tammy Bonnette. Thomas was released on a $200 bond.

•Brian Cormier, 40, 1305 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged April 11, with obstructing a passage, improper turn and driving under suspension by Officer Tammy Bonnette. Cormier was released on a $3,200 bond.

•Marcus Roberts, 27, 210 E. Long St., Ville Platte, was charged April 13, with driving under suspension by Officer Jamie Vidrine. Roberts was released on a $500 bond.

•Jaonnie Arvie, 20, 701 MacArthur Drive, Ville Platte, was charged April 13, with resisting arrest and disturbing the peace by Officer John Bass. At press time, Arvie remained incarcerated on a $1,000 bond.

•Derek Mathews, 17, 816 Derouen St., Ville Platte, was charged April 13, with criminal damage to property by Officer Nathaniel Savoy. At press time, Mathews remained incarcerated on a $200 bond.

•John Adams, 40, 217 W. Long St., Ville Platte, was charged April 14, with disturbing the peace by Officer Nathaniel Savoy. Adams was released on a $200 bond.
