VPPD lists 19 arrests recently

The Ville Platte Police Department reported 16 arrests between November 14, and December 29.

Arrested were the following:

•Lenneth Godfrey, 48, 417 MLK Drive, Ville Platte, was charged December 23, with disturbing the peace and remaining after being forbidden by Officer Chateuse Richard. Godfrey was released on a $700 bond.

•Elizabeth A. Roberts, 29, 4277 Chataignier Road, Ville Platte, was charged December 24, with driving under suspension by Officer Nathaniel Savoy. At press time, no bond information was available.

•Saprina Nowman, 21, 511 S. Dupre, Ville Platte, was charged December 24, with theft by shoplifting by Officer Tammy Bonnette. Nowman was released on a $500 bond.

•Ronald Smith, 46, 806 N. Latour, Ville Platte, was charged December 24, with theft by shoplifting and simple battery by Officer Tammy Bonnette. Smith was released on a $6,000 bond.

•Nicole Stevens, 19, 2084 Hwy. 16, Denham Springs, was charged December 23, with theft by shoplifting by Officer Chateuse Richard. Stevens was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Kelly Candice, 19, 62079 Bayou Road, Plaquemine, was charged December 23, with theft by shoplifting by Officer Damien Bellard. Candice remained incarcerated on a $1,000 bond.

•John Gallow, 22, 109 E. Beech St., Ville Platte, was charged December 28, with criminal damage by Officer Nathaniel Savoy. Gallow was released on a $500 bond.

•Taylor Jones, 26, 601 Reed St., Ville Platte, was charged December 24, with disturbing the peace by fighting and simple possession of marijuana by Officer Tyler Tate. Jones was released on a $3,450 bond.

•Victoria Russel, 19, 1090 Copperhead Road, Ville Platte, was charged December 29, with disturbing the peace by intoxication by officers Jimmy Mitchell and Nathaniel Savoy. Russel remained incarcerated on a $200 bond.

•David Bushnell, 24, 213 Evangeline St., Ville Platte, was charged December 29, with disturbing the peace by Officer Jimmy Mitchell. Bushnell was released on a bond.

•Mannix Veillon, 26, 406 N. Latour St., Ville Platte, was charged December 24, with disturbing the peace by intoxication by Officer Jacob Dupre. Veillon was released on a $200 bond.

•Malcolm Wilson, 20, 119 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged December 14, with disturbing the peace (two counts) and resisting an officer. Wilson was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Jermaine Williams, 33, 249 Church St.,was charged December 14, with disturbing the peace and interfering with the duties of an officer by Officer Nathaniel Savoy. Williams was released on a $700 bond.

•Jeffery Neville, 23, P.O. Box 1615, Eunice, was charged December 29, with theft by shoplifting by Officer Rod Soileau. Neville was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Ramon Guillory, 21, 656 Kavonegh St., Washington, was charged December 16, with simple possession of marijuana, careless operation, no driver’s license and no proof of registration by Officer Tyler Tate. Guillory was released on a bond.

•Vera Dixon, 47, 714 S. Soileau St., Ville Platte, was charged December 29, with no seat belt and suspended driver’s license by Officer Tyler Tate. Dixon was released on a $700 bond.

•Jacqueline Smith, 21, 1310 W. Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged December 26, with switched plates, no driver’s license, no registration and no proof of insurance by Officer Damien Bellard. Smith was released on a $800 bond.

•Ronald Jack, 54, 668 Colt Ave., Ville Platte, was charged December 26, with driving under suspension by Officer Damien Bellard. Jack was released on a $500 bond.

•Tracey Fontenot, 25, 9 E. Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged December 24, with DWI, careless operation, no driver’s license, criminal damage to property and leaving the scene of an accident by Officer Damien Bellard. Fontenot was released on a $2,300 bond.
