VPPD reports 13 arrests

The Ville Platte Police Department reported 13 arrests during the past week.

The following persons were charged:

•Edwin Griffith, 47, 1026 Peach St., Ville Platte, was charged March 22, with theft by shoplifting by Officer Rod Soileau. No bond information was available at press time.

•Justin Tezeno, 29, 110 E. Beech St., Ville Platte, was charged March 21, with domestic abuse by Officer Rod Soileau. Tezeno was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Misty Fontenot, 29, 1408 LaHaye Road, Mamou, was charged March 23, with simple battery by Officer Tammy Bonnette. Fontenot was released on a $1,00 bond.

•Bryan Ardoin, 22, 217 Tina Drive, Ville Platte, was charged March 23, with failure to register a vehicle, expired motor vehicle inspection, loud music and no driver’s license in possession by Officer Jonathan Sparks. Ardoin was released on an $850 bond.

•Gregory Guillory, 29, 712 Rozas St., Ville Platte, was charged March 19, with curfew violation and possession of drug paraphernalia by Officers Tammy Bonnette and Jonathan Sparks. At press time, Guillory remained incarcerated on a $2,700 bond.

•Linda Gallow, 47, 1322 W. Cypress St., Ville Platte, was charged March 18, with possession of drug paraphernalia and curfew violation by Officers Tammy Bonnette and Jonathan Sparks. At press time, Gallow remained incarcerated on a $2,700 bond.

•Amanada L. Ortego, 34, 4358 Heritage Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 17, with careless operation, criminal damage to property and DWI by Officer Chateuse Richard. Ortego was released on a $1,950 bond.

•Johnny Freeman, 44, 111 Deville St., Ville Platte, was charged March 23, with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia by Officer Tyler Tate. No bond information was available at press time.

•Daryl Ardoin, 43, 114 E. Beech St., Ville Platte, was charged March 19, with curfew violation and possession of drug paraphernalia. At press time, Ardoin remained incarcerated on a $2,700 bond.

•Casey Faul, 18, 319 E. Pine St., Ville Platte, was charged March 15, with discharging a firearm by Officer Tyler Tate. Faul was released on a $1,000 bond.

•Frederick LeBlanc, 52, 1158 Three Sisters Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 18, with no driver’s license and littering by Officer Tyler Tate. LeBlanc was released on a $550 bond.

•Angelika Fontenot, 20, 111 E. Oak St., Ville Platte, was charged March 19, with disturbing the peace, resisting an officer and curfew violation by Officers Tammy Bonnette and Jonathan Sparks. At press time, Fontenot remained incarcerated.

•Luvel Ferguson, 18, 2076 Ferguson Road, Ville Platte, was charged March 21, with no driver’s license and no seatbelt by Officer Damien Bellard. Ferguson was released on a $400 bond.
