Wallace "Fats" LeBlanc
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in the funeral home chapel, with Father Bill Ruskoski officiating, for Wallace “Fats” LeBlanc, 80, of Rayne, who died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at 9 a.m. in Lafayette General Hospital.
Burial was in the Leger Cemetery in Indian Bayou.
Visitation was observed Saturday from 12 noon until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
He leaves to mourn one son, Roland and wife Denise LeBlanc, Rayne; one sister, Lydia Deaville, Jennings; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a godchild, John J. Deville, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. LeBlanc was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Perry; his parents, Orelia Thibodeaux and Marcelline LeBlanc; three brothers, Henry (Black), Walter, and Wilson LeBlanc; six sisters, Margarette Monceaux, Theresa Duhon, Nola Landry, Hilda Mire, Dorothy Kibodeaux and Una Foreman.
Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.
