Warren Joseph "Wa-Ron" LeJeune
IOTA – Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Warren Joseph “Wa-Ron” LeJeune, 66, who died September 26, 2008 in Iota.
Fr. Mikel Polson will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visitation Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iota.
Warren was an iron worker in the refinery plants in Lake Charles for 20 years. After retiring from the plants, he worked for Acadia Parish Police Jury for 7 years. He never went far from the little town of Iota. Warren loved the people and loved sitting on his front porch visiting with his friends, T-Hugh and Wayne. “Poppy” lived for his grandchildren; he never tired of playing and spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sally Roy LeJeune of Iota; two daughters, Lisa LeDoux and her husband David of Iota, and Tiffany Sarver of Iota; two sons, Kevin LeJeune and his wife Lisa of Iota, and Chad LeJeune and his wife, Gidget of Church Point; eight grandchildren, Jenna, Lauren, McKenzie, and Madison LeJeune, Katie Ramsey, Stefan, Seth and Sofie Sarver; one great-grandson, Caron LeJeune; his father and step-mother, Horace and Laura LeJeune of Iota; one sister, Connie Vincent of Iota.
Mr. LeJeune is preceded in death by his mother, Ilene LeJeune; his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Elaine LeJeune; and his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Alice Andrepont.
The pallbearers will be Harry Orebo, Ryan Ramsey, Wayne Ritter, Hubert Leger, Whity Daigle and Gil Pousson. Honorary pallbearers will be Stefan and Seth Sarver.
