Wedding vows exchanged

Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony April 12, uniting Miss Brittany Michelle Soileau and Mr. Jared Ryan Manuel in holy matrimony with Fathers Jude Halpin, Buddy Breaux and Bryce Sibley officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Chad and Andree’ Soileau of Ville Platte. The groom’s parents are Steve and Brenda Manuel of Eunice.

The church was beautifully lit with candles and decorated with floral arrangements located along the aisle.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her elegant strapless gown of ivory-colored silk taffeta. The gown featured pewter-colored, embroidered lace draped across the skirt. The back of the gown was embellished with pewter-colored lace around the corset and down the chapel-length train. She wore a cathedral-length veil of delicate ivory-colored tulle accented with pearls, rhinestones and silver embroidery.

The bride carried a teardrop-draped bouquet of orchids, green and pink roses, lisianthus, anemone, heather, stock and hydrangea.

Lauren Norfleet of Lafayette, the bride’s cousin, served as maid of honor for the special occasion. She wore a strapless, floor-length, sage-colored taffeta gown and carried a bouquet of hot pink and green roses, heather, lisianthus, stock and freesia.

Bridesmaids were Victoria Soileau and Courtney Soileau, both of Ville Platte, sisters of the bride; Aimee Morrison and Caitlin Morrison, both of Baton Rouge, cousins of the bride; and Andre Fontenot of Baton Rouge and Lindsey Enicke of Lafayette, both friends of the bride. They were attired identically to the maid of honor.

Andre’ Feucht of Houston, Texas, served as best man for the evening ceremony.

Groomsmen were Blake Manuel of Lafayette, brother of the groom; Chadwick Soileau of Baton Rouge, brother of the bride; and Dee Alexander, Corey Schwartzenburg, Jason Wilson and Stanley Lerille, all of Lafayette, friends of the groom.

Anna Breaux, the bride’s cousin, served as flower girl, and Boyce Schexnider, the bride’s godchild, served as ring bearer.

Ushers were Barrett Olivier, Justin Hebert, Beau Fontenot and Chris Meilleur.

For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a strapless, floor-length, rose-colored silk luster chiffon gown accented with a ruched bodice and beaded applique at the neckline and down the side front of the bodice, which featured cascading ruffles. A beaded, lace bolero jacket completed the attire.

The groom’s mother chose a strapless, floor-length, platinum-colored taffeta gown accented with a tiered bodice and flared skirt. A matching off-the-shoulder wrap accented with a beaded and embroidered applique enhanced the outfit.

A reception followed at the Wolff Reception Hall in Washington. The hall was decorated with fuschia-colored organdy tablecloths placed over white linen. Chairs were adorned with white covers accented with chartreuse-colored sashes around the chair backs. Table centerpieces were floral arrangements and candles to match the bride’s bouquet.

Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple has made their home in Carencro.
