West facing contributing charges

PINE PRAIRIE - An 18-year-old warned to stay away from another teen has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and remaining after being forbidden.

Pine Prairie Police Chief Todd Ortis said charges were filed Tuesday, January 6, against Kyle D. West, 18, 1168 Kordish Lane, Ville Platte, after a resident arrived home and discovered West in her home. He said the mother had warned West not to come back to her home to visit with her teenage daughter. The mother left work early and arrived home to discover something was not right. She searched the residence and found West hiding in a closet in the bedroom of the home.

Ortis said the mother contacted authorities and West was arrested. West’s bond was set at $3,000 by 13th Judicial District Judge Tom Fuselier.
