Duson - Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. for Willie Dugas, 83 who died Friday, March 20, 2009.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda Breaux; sons, Rodney Dugas of Duson, Patrick Dugas wife Tina of Duson; daughter, Beverly Leger and husband Stephen of Rayne; sister, Helen Moss of Praireville; brothers, Louis Dugas of Rayne and Roy Dugas of Denham Springs; sisters, Mary Dupuis of Rayne, Edna Dupuis of Rayne, Joyce Trahan of Duson, Betty Martin of Duson; grandsons, Troy Dugas of Lafayette, Chad Dugas of Duson, and Trent Dugas of Duson; granddaughters, Cynthia LaBiche and husband Joey of Lafayette, and Stacey Dugas of Scott; great-grandchild, Torie LaBiche of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his sibilings, Frank Dugas, Virginia Dupuis, Vinola Guidry, Lula Mae Mire and Lorida Dugas.
He was born Saturday, March 20, 1926 in Rayne, son of the late Baron Dugas and the late Rena Cahanin.
Mr. Dugas is the former owner of Dugas Paint and Body and a Veteran of WWII.
Friends were received from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, and again Monday, March 23, from 8 a.m. until service, time at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., in Rayne.
