Youth charged with breaking into Boys and Girls Club

The Abbeville Police Department was able to arrest the person who recently broke into the Boys and Girls Club in Abbeville.

According to Police Chief Rick Coleman, the alleged criminal was a 14-year-old boy.

Coleman said the boy was once a member of the Boys and Girls Club.

His name was not released because he was a youth. The youth was arrested for breaking into the club and stealing $40 from the office. The person broke a window and climbed through a small hole to get into the building.

Once in, he used pool balls to break the window of the office where he found the cash.
