GUMBO COOK-OFF

The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Gumbo Cook-Off beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Rayne Pavilion, 206 Frog Festival Drive. Live entertainment begins at 11 a.m., gumbo ready at 11:30 a.m. $10 admission includes unlimited gumbo tasting. Deadline to register a team is Oct. 19.
