Laura Bell Thomas

CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley for Laura Bell Thomas, 66, who passed away July 19, 2024, at The Calcutta House in Lafayette.
Father Mark Odoguje, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. to the time of service at St. Theresa Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
Interment will be in Community Gardens Cemetery in Rayne.
She is survived by three children, Jerry Smith of Lake Charles, Jan Smith of Millington, Tennessee, and O’Dazio Thomas of Lake Charles; three siblings, Wilma Bias of Crowley, Ivan Vallier of Houston, and Gabriella Logan of Crowley; and six grandchildren, Savanah Raigne Thomas, Kimora Smith, Joshua Dodd, Jordan Smith and Tiamya Smith.
Laura is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Thomas; her parents, Preston and Victoria Vallier; her foster parents, Adam and Ida Logan; and five siblings, Signora, Lester, Raymond, Rodney and Jimmy Vallier.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley.
