Terro descendants attend annual family reunion

Hoffpauirs hold 49th annual reunion

Souvenir door prizes were awarded during the 49th Hoffpauir Family Association reunion held on the morning of Monday, Sept. 1, at the Indian Bayou United Methodist Church. Winning the association’s souvenirs were, from left, Debbie Hoffpauir of San Antonio, Texas, who traveled the farthest; 6-month-old Gage Lalonde of Indian Bayou, who was recognized as the youngest (held by his mother Ashlie Lalonde); and 94-year-old James Morgan, who was recognized as the oldest. They were congratulated by Elaine Simon, association vice president, far right.

The Indian Bayou United Methodist Church once again hosted the Hoffpauir Family Association reunion on Labor Day. 

Roys celebrate 60 years

Rainy weather moved the party indoors but did not dampen the spirits of family and friends celebrating the 60th anniversary of Effie and Lee Perry Roy on Saturday, Aug. 30.

Native American Day set for Sept. 20 at Vermilionville

The Bayou Vermilion District’s Vermilionville has invited the public to celebrate its annual Native American Culture Day on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its historic village.
