AnnaLisa Mariah Meredith, daughter of John Meredith Sr. and Frances Meredith was crowned the 80th International Rice Festival Queen Saturday morning. Meredith was sponsored by the Arkansas Rice Festival.

80th International Rice Festival Queen crowned

Downtown Crowley saw perfect weather and a big crowd on hand Saturday morning for the 80th International Rice Festival Queen’s Pageant.

2016 Junior King and Queen

From left, Malari Navarre and Cory Fruge Jr. were crowned as the 80th International Junior King and Queen Friday morning. Navarre is a South Crowley Elementary second grader and is the daughter of Bobbi and Lawrence Navarre. Fruge, a second grader at Iota Elementary, is the son of Cory Fruge Sr. and Amanda Fruge.

Rayne is first ‘Official OST City;’ new logo unveiled during program

Rayne became the first city to receive certification as an “Official Old Spanish Trail City” during well-attended ceremonies Monday night.
