Rayne Rec All-Star teams in tournament action

Indians cruise past Millers in American Legion action

Crowley’s Luke Ancelet slides into third base Tuesday during the Millers’ 11-1 loss to the Opelousas Indians at Westminster High School. The Millers will play host to the Opelousas Seminoles tonight at Miller Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.

OPELOUSAS – After a week long layoff, the Crowley Millers finally got back on the field Tuesday in an American Legion contest against the Opelousas Indians.
Unfortunately for the locals, the rust from not playing a game since June 5 was evident.

Gents split doubleheader with Westminster

CROWLEY – The Crowley Gents took advantage of a number of walks and a handful of errors Monday to down Westminster, 6-3, in the first game of a doubleheader at Miller Stadium.

Six locals tabbed to LSCA Class 3A All-State Team

CROWLEY – The 2014 softball season may be well in the books but the accolades continue to roll in for six Acadia Parish standouts.
Notre Dame landed four players on the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association Class 3A All-State team while Iota and Church Point each locked down one spot.
