When the college recruiting process began for Notre Dame’s C.J. Thibodeaux, all signs pointed towards the standout running back staying local and heading to LSU.
Behind a solid effort from Brooke Guthrie, Northside Christian remained unbeaten in volleyball action with a 3-1 victory over Class 5A Southside Monday at Seth Trahan Memorial Gym.

Iota’s Tyrone Charlot hauls in a pass from quarterback Dawson Wallace last week during the Bulldogs’ 34-0 victory over Welsh. Iota will play host to District 6-2A’s Lake Arthur Friday at 7 p.m.
For the second week, the Iota Bulldogs will be hosting a team from District 6-2A when the Lake Arthur Tigers come calling on Friday at Bulldogs Stadium.
