RAYNE - The 50th wedding anniversary was observed on July 24, 2021, by Raylin and Linda Alleman of Rayne.

One of Rayne’s most cherished citizens, Norman Faulk, was named honoree of a surprise birthday party held in honor of his 90th birthday.
Of local interest, the exhibit “Evangeline: Evolution of an Icon” is now on display at the West Baton Rouge Museum.
Grammy-winning artist Wayne Burns, foreground, will donate his guitar to the Jeanerette Museum on Aug. 11.
Wayne “Blue” Burns, a Grammy winner and acclaimed bass guitarist, will donate his bass guitar to the Jeanerette Museum on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m.
The event is open to the public.
