PINTO SUPER REGIONAL CHAMPIONS - The Boys Pinto All-Stars, comprised of players of the 2021 Rayne Recreation Summer League teams, captured top honors during the South Zone Baseball Pinto Super Regional Tournament held July 2-6 in Youngsville, qualifying for the Pinto Plus World Series slated July 21-24, also in Youngsville. Locals, young and not, joined members of the Square Dancers Campus Association for some square dancing fun at the Rayne Civic Center during the National Square Dancers Campus Association’s 63rd Annual International Campboree.

Fr. Benjamin Pitre, center, is joined by Bishop Douglas Deshotels and clergy of the Diocese during a reception held in the St. Joseph Church Hall following ceremonies on Tuesday, July 16, during a 7 p.m. commissioning ceremony held at St. Joseph Church in Rayne.
