Kiwanis Christmas Parade will roll tonight

City’s official ‘Welcome to Santa’ starts at 6 p.m.

Members of the Crowley Kiwanis Club have finalized plans for the annual City of Crowley Christmas Parade.
The traditional “Welcome to Santa” will be held Thursday, today, beginning at 6 p.m.
The parade will follow the same route as in the past with line-up beginning at 5 p.m. at the intersection of North Parkerson Avenue and 10th Street.
From there, the units will proceed south, round the parish courthouse and continue to Second Street.
A U-turn will return the units to the starting point.
K.P. Gibson, chairman, reports that there will be about a dozen sponsored floats along with another 10 to 15 individual units and parish marching bands in the annual yuletide event.
Any business, group or organization wishing to participate in the parade can enter a single vehicle for $25 or a truck with trailer for $50. (Have fee ready when reporting for line-up today.)
