Rayne’s 1st baby of 2020 arrives

RAYNE - It took two weeks into the new year, but the city of Rayne finally has its first baby for 2020, little Gabriel Lewis Cook, who was born at 1:17 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center to Stuart and Marie L. Cook of Rayne.
At birth, he weighed nine pounds and measured 21.5 inches in length.
He is also welcomed by his older sister, Christine Faye Cook.
His mother is the former Cynthia Marie Ledet, daughter of Timothy and Christy Ledet of Rayne, maternal grandparents.
Paternal grandparents are Faye and Lewis “Louie” Cook Jr., also of Rayne.
Great-grandparents are Larry Moore of Rayne and Catherine Sandberg of Zwolle.
Godparents of the First Baby are Elizabeth Ledet and Lewis Cook III, both of Rayne.
As named Rayne’s First Baby for 2020, little Gabriel and his parents will be presented a number of gifts from local and area businesses/sponsors.
