Shooting on North Avenue I in Crowley injures one

A Crowley man found with multiple gunshot wounds at an Interstate 10 off-ramp Tuesday night said he was shot eight miles away in Crowley.
Crowley police, along with deputies from the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office were called to Exit 72 Tuesday evening where a man was found in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Police Chief Jimmy Broussard.
Crowley police, along with deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff Department responded to a call at Exit 72 in Acadia Parish to find a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle.
The victim and a female subject with him told investigators that the shooting happened in the 1700 block of North Avenue I in Crowley.
Broussard said police officers went to the Avenue I scene and were able to locate multiple shell casings. The area was secured and processed by investigators, Broussard said.
“Our officers are interviewing people and investigating all leads,” Broussard said.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was reported in stable condition.
