Midland High School names 2017-18 Homecoming Queen

Hannah Claire Credeur, daughter of Sabrina Guillory and Derrick Credeur, has been crowned 2017 - 2018 Homecoming Queen at Midland High School.

Joe Mitchell, center, CEO at Acadia General Hospital, was guest speaker at the Crowley Lions Club meeting Tuesday. He was accompanied by Nancy Broadhurst, left, Development Officer for the Lafayette General Foundation, and welcomed by club President Patti Lawrence.

CEO lauds hospital progress

A lot of progress has been made at Acadia General Hospital in the last three and a half years, and a lot more is in the works.

Kirsten Navarre, center, who boxes out of Blades Total Boxing Gym in Crowley, was named 2017 Intermediate Female Boxer of the Year. Receiving the award with Navarre was her coach, Tony Johnson, left. Arthur Scott, coach of the Crowley Boxing Club, right, was on hand to present the plaque.

Dr. Stephen Cannon of Crowley was named the 2017 Doctor of the Year.

Navarre, Cannon receive top awards

The Southern Association of USA Boxing recently presented its annual awards to outstanding members and associates.
