As of noon Thursday, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 2,280 and the number of deaths had increased by 24, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
Attempted armed robbery suspects sought

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred on July 11 at about 10 p.m. in the area of St. Margaret Road near Church Point.
