Hunters from as far away as Shreveport, Pineville and Kaplan gathered in Lafayette on Saturday to attend the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries first-ever Squirrel 101 Workshop.
Police here have confiscated several fake $100 bills in recent days and are warning merchants across South Louisiana to be on the lookout for the counterfeit bills.
Early voting for the Oct. 12 primary election starts Saturday at the Acadia Parish Registrar of Voters Office.
