District 1 Police Juror Walter Andrus, far left, and Police Jury President Chance Henry, second from left, visited Crowley’s Empowering the Community for Excellence Learning Center Wednesday afternoon to present a grant for the purchase of five computers for the center. Andrus explained that the funds are part of his district’s “share” of American Rescue Plan Act funds and fulfill a promise he made when campaigning to do whatever he could to further youth education and development in the community. Audrey Spencer, holding the check at right, founder of ETCFE, said the new computers will be put to good use at the center.
