Recognizing that the flag at the Tony Robichaux Sports Complex was becoming worn by the winds, the Crowley Lions Club purchased a new one “before it became tattered,” according to Mark Harris, who chaired the club’s project to have the flag and pole installed at the park. Now the complex is sporting “the largest flag in Acadia Parish,” Peter Kirsch, Rec Director, said when the club formally presented the new flag recently. On hand for the presentation were, from left, Harris, Lion Tim Mader, Kirsch, Lion President Ann Mire and Mayor Chad Monceaux. Harris added that this is the third flag the club has purchased for the park as part of its ongoing commitment to the project.
CROWLEY - The Acadia Parish School Board hosted a Public Workshop Monday at the School Board office with the public invited to attend.
