Yvonne Lena Baer Gary

HOUSTON, TEXAS - Yvonne Lena Gary passed away on April 17, 2018. She was born on October 7, 1927 in Rayne, Louisiana to parents Jeanne and Louis H. Baer.
The family received friends for visitation on Monday, April 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with funeral services held at 12:30 p.m. in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, Texas.
Burial followed at Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her four grandchildren, Monica Faries and husband Garth, Patrice Puckett and husband Tracy, Daniel Shaffner, and Joseph Shaffner and wife Cathy; 10 great-grandchildren, Paul, Peter, Anna, Jacob, Caleb, Ian, Sarah, Timothy, Keagan and Michael; brother, Max Baer; sister, Kay Weider; and numerous friends and other family members.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her loving husband, Claude Gary; her parents, Jeanne and Louis H. Baer; a daughter, Claudia Shaffner; a son, Claude Gary Jr.; and eight siblings.
Pallbearers were Joseph Shaffner, Garth Faries, Paul Wright, Tracy Puckett, Peter Gural and Ian Puckett.
Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, Texas (281-449-6511) was in charge of funeral arrangements.
