John Sidney Arceneaux

RAYNE - Memorial services will be held at a later date for John Sidney Arceneaux, 86, who died Monday, April 23, 2018, at his residence in Rayne. He donated his body to the State of Louisiana LSU Health Sciences Center.
Survivors include three daughters, Pam Arceneaux Gautreaux and husband Brent of Sunset, Gadrienne Arceneaux Ardoin and husband Kent “Stick” of Duralde, and Victoria Arceneaux and companion Frank of Warner Robbins, GA; two sons, Mark J. Arceneaux and wife Susan of Elton and Darren R. Arceneaux and wife Cheryl Tindall of Carencro; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Arceneaux Boulet of Eunice.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lennie Arceneaux; mother, Ernestine Meche Arceneaux; wife, Gertrude Louviere Arceneaux; and four brothers, David Roy Arceneaux, John D. Arceneaux, David Lee Arceneaux and John “Palooka” Arceneaux.
The family of Sidney Arceneaux would like to give special thanks to Kellie Foreman for all the help she gave him over his last few years. In addition, the family would like to thank Deacon Tommy Adams for all the help and time he spent with Mr. Sidney, and also Heart of Hospice for the great care they gave him in his final days. A special thank you to the community for all of the support, visits and help offered to Mr. Sidney during his life in Rayne.
