Melva Ann Domino
Family, friends, and others whose lives Sister Melva Ann Domino touched are invited to her Celebration of Life homage. She departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at 5:58 a.m. at Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
The eulogy will be held at Love of Christ Baptist Church of Crowley, Inc., located 1120 W. Hutchinson Ave., Crowley.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Eulogy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9.
Sister Melva Ann was the sixth daughter born to the union of Zelma Marie Blaze Domino and Ervin Leo Domino, who welcomed her into the family on Nov. 18, 1958, in Lafayette.
At an early age, she was baptized at St. Joseph Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Donald R. Burnette Sr. and later joined the Love of Christ Baptist Church of Crowley, Inc., under the tutelage of Pastor Corwin Dale Morgan.
Melva was joined in marriage to Wilfred “Busch” Sereal in 2002.
She graduated from Crowley High School and was a proud member of the class of 1978. Melva truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Natasha, Melva and Shontel; her parents, Zelma and Ervin Domino; her step father, Ivory Lambert; her maternal grandparents, Issac and Mary Lena Blaze; her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Domino; her sister, Abelle Domino; her aunt, Mary Bryant; her uncles, Harry and Leasin (LL) Blaze and Calvin Dunn; her nephews, Keith Jerard Domino and Frederick Arceneaux Jr.; her niece, Eraine Domino; her great niece, La’Vera Davis; and her great nephew, Ken’Terrick Devon Arceneaux.
Those who will be most profoundly deprived of her warmth and caring spirit, yet experience her presence, reflect on memories of her strength and lively conversations are her children, Ashanti and Jericho; her grandchildren; Antonio, Nathan, Tyren and Amani; and her great grandson, Ja’Von; her siblings, Shelia Thomas of Houston, Texas, Judy Domino of Crowley, Elizabeth Domino of Lafayette, Audrey Davis of Crowley, Gregory Domino of Crowley, Cullen Domino of Dallas, Texas, and Reginald Domino (Karla) of Long Beach, California; two step-brothers, Stanley Lambert of Crowley, and Dirk Lambert of North Carolina; and her nephews and nieces whom she loved; a host of great nieces and nephews; three aunts and many devoted relatives and friends.
