Shrine of Our Mother of Mercy celebrated 95-year anniversary

RAYNE - On Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019, the Shrine of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church celebrated 95 years of service to the Rayne community as a church parish.
In celebrating “95 years of a journey of faith together”, Fr. Emmanuel Awe, SSJ, pastor, welcomed a large attendance with the opening prayer.
The history of the Shrine of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church was presented, followed by a poem and performances by the P.R.E.P. Students.
“What do you Remember???” and “Who Remembers???” was enjoyed by all in attendance as memories were shared.
The closing song, “We Have Come This Far By Faith” was presented, as was the closing prayer by Fr. Awe.
