Bonnie Gayle Henry Breaux
INDIAN BAYOU - Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, for Bonnie Gayle Henry Breaux, 77, who died Tuesday, April 9, at her residence in Indian Bayou.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne.
Rev. Steven LeBlanc, Pastor of St. Basil Catholic Church in Judice, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Bonnie Gayle Henry Breaux was born on October 27, 1941, the fourth and last child born to Lloyd Thomas Henry and Fay Elizabeth Pullin. She was born and raised in Andrew, attended Indian Bayou High School where she graduated in June of 1959. Three months later Bonnie married Harold, who was the little boy that kept pulling her ponytail in class. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 5th.
Bonnie’s favorite pastimes were working in her flowerbeds and going on family vacations with all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Both she and Harold were members of the Evangeline Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. They enjoyed going to the club events in their 1956 Crown Victoria and their 1985 Toronado.
Bonnie was also known as “Mumsie” to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all the children in the neighborhood that she helped baby-sit through the years.
Survivors include her husband Harold; daughter, Angie and husband John Hebert; two sons, Kimmy Breaux and Joey Breaux and wife Lisa, all of Indian Bayou; six grandchildren, Micah Breaux and wife Camille, Eric Hebert, Skyler Hebert and wife Megan, Trevor Hebert, Laine Breaux and Tristan Breaux; three great-grandchildren, Elliot James Breaux, Evelyn Grace Breaux and Lillian Rae Decou; and sister, Patsy Henry Sarver of Indian Bayou.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Lloyd Henry and Robert Lane Henry.
A Rosary will be prayed Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Friday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
