Clyde Joseph “Tee” Simon

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Clyde Joseph “Tee” Simon, 79, who passed away Dec. 20, 2021, at Acadia General Hospital.
Father Mikel Polson, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Lyons Point.
Tee was born May 5, 1942, in Lyons Point. After graduating Crowley High School, Clyde began his career in the oil and gas industry. At first, he was a seismographer, then he was employed and retired from Shell Oil after 21 years as a driller.
He was an avid outdoorsman, but his favorite was hunting. Clyde also had a passion for old cars, making many trips to shows in Houston.
He had many good qualities but especially being a hard-working, and dedicated worker and family man.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy G. “Dot” Simon of Crowley; two sons, Chad L. Simon and wife Lisa of Lafayette, and Shawn E. Simon and Gerardo Barajas of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Beatrice Girouard of Biloxi, Mississippi, Ida Bert of Fairhope, Alabama, Yolande Duhon of Kaplan and Nettie Primeaux and husband Darrel of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Ulyssee Simon and wife Carrie of Crowley, and Dennis Simon and wife Myrtle of Conroe, Texas; two grandchildren, Joshua L. Simon of Covington, and Kristin Moellendorf and husband Patrick of Harper, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Layne Ince ,Jaxon Ince and Rylan Geisler; and his daughter-in-law, Ann Hodges Simon of Covington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marc Dupreville and Laurence Comeaux Simon; one sister, Willie Mae Langlinais; and six brothers, Sterling, Chester, Rayal, Curtis, Dalton and Leroy Simon.
Pallbearers will be Chad Simon, Shawn Simon, Joshua Simon. Jobe Cormier, Kevin Wirtz, Britt Wirtz and Daniel Ohlenforst.

Due to COVID 19, we ask you to wear a mask during visitation at the funeral home.
