Gregory Louis Leger

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, at Forest Park Church of Christ for Gregory Louis Leger, 24, who died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at 7:45 p.m. at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Gregory Louis Leger was a goal-driven and accomplished 24-year-old favorite son of Angie and Brian Leger, closest brother to Natalie and Brad Crozier, and coolest uncle to Ari and Xander Crozier all of Crowley. He was a member of the Commando’s Baseball team during his senior year in high school where they won the state championship. He was scheduled to graduate later this year with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a 4.0 from the University of Louisiana where he received several awards including being a part of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Dean’s List, and the President’s List and slated to receive the University Medallion for the Outstanding Scholar award which is the most prestigious level awarded by the University.
As witnessed by all who knew him, he was a man who sought after being the best at whatever he endeavored in.
On May 13, Greg completed his final and most glorious award, to spend eternity in the presence of his Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ. He died a faithful son of God and lover of God’s people. His family rejoices in his life and yearns to spend eternity together with him in heaven someday.
Rev. Jason Corder will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday from 9 a.m. to service time at Forest Park Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Mamou Cemetery in Mamou.
Gregory is survived by his parents, Brian and Angela Mouton Leger of Crowley; one sister, Natalie L. Crozier and husband Brad of Crowley; his niece and nephew, Arianna and Xander Crozier of Crowley; maternal grandparents, Victoria and Zeke Goff of Wabash, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, M.J. Mouton; paternal grandparents, E. J. and Leola Leger.
