Shelton “Peyonk” Breaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point for Shelton “Peyonk” Breaux, 84, who passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at 1:57 a.m. at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Father Arockia Doss, pastor of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point, will be officiating for the services.
Burial will be held in the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in Lyons Point.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 4:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Left behind to cherish his memory are five children, Pam Miller and husband Randy of Basile, Kris Breaux and wife Donna of Crowley, Lisa Miller and husband Cecil of Crowley, Angela B. Callahan of Crowley and James Breaux and wife Cristal of Crowley; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Breaux was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ruby Broussard Breaux; one grandson, Scott Callahan; his parents Dewitt and Marine Hanks Breaux; one sister, Barbara Cormier; and one brother, Victor Breaux.
Pallbearers for the service will be his grandsons, Jeremy Miller, Ryan Miller, Tanner Sonnier, Andrew Breaux, Kevin Callahan and Steven Callahan.
