William “Pop” W. Duhon
A Celebration of the Life of William “Pop” W. Duhon, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, at Duhon Funeral Home-Crowley Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Broussard officiating. Visitation will begin in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel Crowley on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume on Friday at 8 AM until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the celebration and will be in Abshire Cemetery. Mr. Duhon passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Mr. Duhon is survived by two sons, Carroll L. Duhon and his wife Sandra of Crowley and Jeffery W. Duhon and his wife Sue also of Crowley; one sister, Nola Jean Haines; his lifelong companion, Amae Gaspard of Crowley, and her children, Dolores T. Figard, Kathy “Kat” T. Ashworth, Mike Trahan and his wife Suzette, Dewanna “Chick” Schexnayder, Ricky Trahan and his wife Emily; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Duhon and Lelia Abshire Duhon; two brothers, Louvie “L.J. Duhon and Leolton “Black” Duhon; one sister, Eula Mae Meaux; as well as Jackie T. Stafford and Dylan Trahan.
Pallbearers will be Justin Duhon, Lynn Duhon, Kenneth “Tiger” Mire, Mikie Trahan, Nathan Guidry and Norman Guidry.
