Norman Francis Faulk

Rayne - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Norman Francis Faulk, 93, who passed away peacefully Sunday, June 8, 2025, at his Rayne residence surrounded by family.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne.
Very Rev. Brent L. Smith, VF, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
After graduating from Southwest Louisiana Institute in Lafayette, Norman served as City Clerk for the Town of Rayne, General Manager with Evangeline Downs, and later as General Manager of La Mesa Park in Raton, New Mexico. He also operated a thoroughbred brood farm in Mire for several years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 7411 in Mire, American Legion Post 77 in Rayne, VFW Post 6720 in Crowley and served as Senior Vice Commander for Post 6720.
He served in the United States Army from June 1950 to June 1953, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a Korean War Veteran, and was awarded combat infantryman Badge, Bronze Stars Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and Korean Presidential Citation.
Survivors include his three sons, Fred Faulk (Wendy), Steve Faulk (Natalie) and Scott Faulk (Brandy); 11 grandchildren, Barry Faulk, Lauren Buettner, James Faulk, Jonah Faulk, Emily Faulk, Taylor Halsch, D.J. Faulk, Michael Faulk, Tyler Faulk, Aaron Faulk and Toby Faulk; three step-grandchildren, Michelle Dew, Taylor Dew and Cheyenne Stegner; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Selma Faulk Blanchard and Evelyn Faulk Siewert (Bob); one sister-in-law, Beverly Debetaz Faulk; and one bother-in-law, Jeff Morris.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Nettie Mae Chiasson Faulk; two sons, Gerald John Faulk and Frank Joseph Faulk; parents, Fernest J. Faulk and Florence Chappuis Faulk; two brothers, Stanley R. Faulk (Joyce) and Kenneth Faulk; one sister, Sylvia Faulk Morris; one sister-in-law, Theodora Heinen Faulk; and one brother-in-law, Hubert Blanchard.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Thursday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Lyle O. Fogleman Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, June 9, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Lyle O. Fogleman Jr., 69, who passed away at his home June 5, 2025.
Father Mark Miley, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, officiated for the services.
The family had requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. A rosary was recited at 1 p.m. on Monday.
Interment was in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Lyle was born on Aug. 5, 1955, in Crowley. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from L.S.U., a Master’s Degree from the University of London’s Wye College and Juris Doctorate Degree from Southern Law Center.
He established his law practice in September of 1989 where he worked diligently for the benefit of his clients. Lyle had a compassionate heart and served many of those in need.
Lyle was a dedicated professional to the Crowley community. He served the City of Crowley as alderman of Crowley on the city council for several years where he promoted growth and development for his hometown.
Lyle was past president and member of Crowley Rotary Club, active member of Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce, past president and member of the Acadia Parish Bar Association, past president, and past king and member of Krewe of Town Revelers.
Lyle O. was loyal to Catholic education and faith serving on both advisory boards of St. Michael Elementary and Notre Dame High School, member of St. Michael’s Church mixed choir, and St. Michael Liturgy Commission. He loved being involved in his community and took pride in the city he was from.
In his youth and early adulthood, he loved riding horses. He adored his garden and enjoyed great food in the company of his friends and family
Lyle referred to his grandchildren as his treasures and was so proud to be their grandfather.
He is survived by two daughters, Lyska F. LaBruzzo and husband Joseph of San Diego, and Lynzie F. Fay and husband Connor of Jacksonville, Florida; his stepmother, Jacquelyn W. Fogleman of Crowley; three siblings, Trent Fogleman and wife Dolores of Crowley, Scott Fogleman and wife Sarah of Morse, and Quincy M. Fogleman of Crowley; three grandchildren, Bau LaBruzzo, Sofia Marie LaBruzzo, and Bennett Fay; and three step-siblings, Cheryl Suiter and husband Mike, Debra Holstead, and Wayne Holstead.
Lyle is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Marie Guidry Fogleman Sr.
The family would like to thank Lamm Hospice and all his attentive caregivers during his last days. Lyle was a great man who will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
