Wanda Breaux Seaux

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Wanda Breaux Seaux, 83, who died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019 at 2:55 p.m. at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point.
Deacon Tom Sommers will officiate for the services.
The family requests visiting hours Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 6 p.m.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Seaux is survived by her husband, Martin Seaux of Church Point; two step-sons, Patrick Seaux of Duson and Jeremy Seaux of Church Point; nine step-grandchildren, Alexis, Lucas, Harlie, Carlie and Rene Seaux, Jalyn Richard, Troy Trahan, Brandon Daigle and Stewart Daigle; one step great-grandchild, Kamyle Hollier; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Lee Hebert; her parents, Norbert Sidney and Marie Credeur Breaux; one sister, Juanita Breaux Meche; two brothers, Rodney and Ward Ray Breaux.
Pallbearers will be Robert Meche, Greg Meche, Sidney Meche, Lucas Seaux, Butch Simon, Tommy Bageux, and Austin Meche.
The family wishes to thank Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home and Heart of Hospice for their care and compassion for Mrs. Seaux.

John Calvin Miller

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for John Calvin Miller, 88, who died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, in Crowley.
Fr. Byron Miller will be officiating for his father’s funeral services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
John was a corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953. He was a well-known local mechanic and later as a delivery technician for Carmichaels Pharmacy. Mr. Miller was passionate about race car driving, and his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice M. LeLeux and husband Glen of Crowley, and Tiffany M. Comeaux of Lafayette; one son, Fr. Byron Miller, C.Ss.R., of Liguori, Missouri; one sister, Betty Ann Cure of Belle Chasse; six grandchildren, Brooke L. Murphy, Desiree L. Thomas, Matthew LeLeux, Jacob LeLeux, Andrew Comeaux, and Alex Comeaux; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Emma, and Cullen Thomas and Bailey Murphy.
Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Matthews Miller; his parents, John and Rita Simar Miller; one sister, Doris Raines; and two brothers, Guary Miller, and James “Jimmy” Miller.
Pallbearers will be Glen LeLeux, Matthew LeLeux, Jacob LeLeux, Justin Murphy, Matt Thomas and Dr. Kurt Rothermel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to: Liguori Publications, a ministry of the Redemptorists, One Liguori Drive, Liguori, MO 63057.

Raymond Delco Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 417 W. Third St., Crowley, for Mr. Raymond Delco, 78, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at his residence in Crowley.
Interment will be in South Crowley Cemetery.
Fr. Godwin Imoru, pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, will be officiating the Funeral Mass.
Mr. Delco leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Virlia L. Delco of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Raymond Delco Jr. (Teresa) of Monroe, North Carolina, and Derrick A. Delco of San Antonio, Texas; five daughters, Shrhonda R. Chester (Avery) of San Antonio, Texas, Raynetta R. Delco of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Ravonne P. Cormier (Quentin) of El Paso, Texas, Shantel M. Delco of Crowley, and Brandy M. Spencer of Lake Charles; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Delco Sr. and Mary Lee Barker; and brother, Leo Delco Jr.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

Suspect sought in felony theft of cell phone Aug. 11

Detectives with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating the felony theft of a cell phone from inside the Dollar General, located at 3121 Evangeline Hwy. in Western Acadia Parish.
The incident occurred at about 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11.
The suspect was captured on video surveillance (see inset) removing the phone from the victim’s basket then concealing it on his person.
The suspect is described as a light-complected black male with a tall, thin build and facial hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with black trim and blue jeans.
He was seen driving an older model, light-colored car.

All callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
