Cynthia Ann Cradeur Doucet

NEW ROADS - Cynthia Ann Cradeur Doucet was called home Friday Jan. 31, 2025, in Baton Rouge. Cynthia was a native of Crowley, the daughter of Vincent and Helen Cradeur. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1973 and then attended USL for Architecture.
She moved with her husband (Brian Doucet) to Pointe Coupee Parish in 1978 and resided in Ventress for 45 years. Cindy worked as a draftsman at the New Roads Operations Center and Big Cajun II. During her employment, she contributed to many community outreach projects — Hurricane Relief, food for the needy and Relay for Life, to name a few.
She also traveled all over the U.S. for team cook-off competitions and was over the moon when her team took a victory. In her spare time, she drew house plans for many residents in Pointe Coupee and the surrounding areas. She also taught swimming lessons at the Woodman of the World for several years.
Cindy loved life. Always on the go, she enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, all the arts of life. She had a creative mind and generous heart. She spent her life sharing and teaching the word of the Lord. She was a devout Catholic with unwavering faith. She taught CCD classes, attended numerous Catholic Woman’s conferences and retreats and spent time in the Adoration Chapel for many years.
To expand her knowledge in her faith she completed college courses on theology at the Religious Study Institute. In 2005 she created and organized the “Passionate Walk with Jesus,” that strolled around False River from Immaculate Conception Church to St Mary’s Church on Good Friday. The Walk continued for 15 years with the help of Connie Carrier, Shantele Lacour and all the attendees through the years.
Her love for Christ was undeniable she was a spiritual advisor and faithful friend to many.
