Emily McCullough Allen

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 24, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church for Emily McCullough Allen, 69, who passed away on June 20, 2019.
Reverend Michael Russo will serve as celebrant of the Mass.
Burial will take place in the St. John Cemetery Mausoleum.
Emily, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Thomas McCullough and the former Louise Bazerque.
She is survived by her three daughters, Amalie “Lee” Harmon and fiancé Troy Lavergne, Margaret Harmon Moore and husband Scott and Elizabeth Harmon-Fontenot and husband Jaime; her grandchildren, Jack, Charles and Henry Moore, and Caroline Fontenot; and two brothers, Thomas McCullough and Tim McCullough; and her former husband Connie Allen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Laura McCullough Weil; and her former husband and father of her children, Jerry Page Harmon.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Sunday, June 23, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Scott Moore, Jack Moore, Charles Moore, Henry Moore, Jaime Fontenot and Troy Lavergne.
Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas McCullough, Tim McCullough and J. Mac Weil.
Emily’s daughters would like to express their sincere gratitude to Father Michael Russo for the many years of friendship and spiritual guidance.

Lorena Dickinson

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, in Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel - Scott for Lorena Dickinson, 72, who passed away on June 17, 2019.
Lorena, a resident of Rayne, was the daughter of the late Aurilie Turner and the former Edith Bourque.
She is survived by her children, John Donald Dickinson, Edith Beatrice Dickinson and fiancé Charles “Chuckie” Chaumont and James Harold Dickinson Jr. and wife Michelle Hamlett; one brother, George Bourque; step-son, James Raye Dickinson and wife Kathy; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Harold Dickinson Sr.; brothers Laris, Dempsey and Nelson Turner; one sister, Gussie Bourque; and step-children, John Dale and William Glen Dickinson.

Joann Delores Pastorick Meche

MIRE - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at a 12:30 pm Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Mire, for Joann Delores Pastorick Meche, 84, who died Thursday, June 20, at The Ellington Nursing Home in Rayne.

Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Mire.

Rev. Michael Arnaud, Pastor of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Mire, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Rev. Paul Broussard, Pastor of St. Leo IV Catholic Church, Roberts Cove, will be the con-celebrant.

Mrs. Joann enjoyed family, fishing and life. She always had a cup of coffee or food for you when you visited with her, whether you wanted it or not.

Survivors include five daughters, Carolyn M. Thevis and spouse Herbert of Mire, Jeanette M. David and spouse Carl of Church Point, Diane M. Hebert and spouse David of Scott, Patricia M. Meyer and spouse James "Jim" of Roberts Cove, Charmaine M. Bourque and spouse John of Mire; five sons, Phillip Pastorick and spouse Dona of Opelousas, Kenneth Meche and spouse Dale of Mire, Bryan Meche and spouse Debbie of Roberts Cove, Davie Meche Jr. of Baton Rouge, Craig Meche and spouse Jamie of Mire; three sisters, Jessie P. Trahan and spouse Ray of Lafayette, Elsie P. Weaver of Houston, TX, Nell P. Judd and spouse Robert of Houston, TX; three brothers, Sidney Pastorick and spouse Carol of W. Virginia, Dale Pastorick of Eunice, Paul Glenn Pastorick and spouse Diane of Port Barre; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husband, Davie Leo Meche Sr.; son, Mike Pastorick; two great-grandchildren; and her parents, John Pastorick and Margaret Simmons Pastorick.

A Rosary will be prayed Friday, June 21, at 7:00 pm and Saturday, June 22, at 10:00 am in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Friday, June 21, from noon to 9:00 pm and on Saturday, June 22, from 8:00 am until noon.

The Meche family would like to give a special thanks to all who cared for her, especially The Ellington Nursing Home for the great care that was given to Mrs. Joann, and to Hospice of Acadiana.

Margaret Phyllis Lapleau Green

October 13, 1932 – June 14, 2019
A celebration of life and ceremony of Christian burial will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 22, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 North Davis Drive in Arlington, Texas (817-275-2711), for Margaret Phyllis Lapleau Green, who died on June 14, 2019.
Tilly Bergin will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on June 21, at Moore Funeral Home.
A private family interment will follow the service.
Margaret Phyllis Lapleau, known to her friends as Phyllis, was born in Crowley on Oct. 13, 1932. She graduated from Crowley High School in 1950, attended Centenary College of Louisiana where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, and later earned her Masters Degree in counseling from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Phyllis married William Paul Green in Crowley on July 9, 1961. They later moved to Boulder, Colorado, for Paul to further his education where he earned his MBA in finance at the University of Colorado in 1964. They then moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where Paul earned his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of North Carolina, and then settled in Arlington, Texas, in 1968, where Paul was a professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he was much loved by his students and also held various leadership positions until his death in 1981.
Phyllis worked as an elementary school teacher and retired from the Arlington Independent School district on July 31, 1999. Phyllis was a dedicated mother, sister and friend, who was a Bible Study Fellowship leader for 26 years, as well as a member of the Arlington Women’s Club for 45 years.
She touched the lives of many by sharing her love of Christ and living her faith. In retirement, she enjoyed visiting and traveling with her family, spending time with friends and volunteering in the community.
She is survived by her son, Philip Lee Green and wife Lisa (Hawkins) of Westport, Connecticut; son Larre Paul Green and partner Peter Gerard of Arlington, Texas; and daughter Sara Margaret (Green) Mele; six grandchildren, Austin Joseph (A.J.) Green, Kathryn Elizabeth Green, Jennifer Nicole Green, Margaret (Maggie) Elizabeth Green-Gerard, Matthew Paul Mele and Ava MargaretAnn Lapleau Mele; and her beloved niece and nephew, Terrell and Mary Ellen Kalmback, and their families, along with her extended Lapleau and Green families.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Green, her sister Carolyn Lapleau Kalmback, her brother-in-law Vernon Terrell Kalmback, her brother Victor Lapleau and her parents Leon Philip Lapleau and Margaret Petrie Lapleau.
The family would like to thank A&T Moore healthcare and their dedicated team of caregivers. We would also like to thank Encompass Health and their team that provided compassionate care to Mrs. Green throughout her illness.
