Mercides P. St. Julian
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 7 p.m. at Syrie Funeral Home for Mercides P. St. Julian, 95, who died April 9, at her residence in Rayne.
Services will be conducted by Louis Currie.
Interment will be in Community Gardens Cemetery, Rayne.
She is survived by one sister, Geraldine Price of Port Arthur, TX; one son, Paul Allen St. Julian (Patsy) of Rayne, LA; five daughters, Julia Rose Norman of Monroe, LA, Patsy Nell Handy of Lake Charles, LA, Lanny Jo Goodwin of Rayne, LA, Dawn Patricia Roy (John) of Bossier City, LA, Paula Faye Mercier (Marshall) of Scott, LA; 9 grandsons; 7 granddaughters; one goddaughter, Wilda Marie George and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. St. Julian; one son, Bobby James St. Julian; one daughter, Mary Ann Senegal; her parents, Felix and Julia Plummer; two brothers, Lester Plummer, Arthur Plummer and one sister, Nettie Mae Plummer.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

John Ulysse Mouton
RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at a 1:30 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, for John Ulysse Mouton, 59, who died Friday, April 12, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne.
Rev. Christopher Cambre, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Con-celebrating will be John's first cousin, Rev. Cedric Sonnier.
John retired from Columbia Gulf Transmission Company in October of 2017 after 37 years of service. He then worked at Rayne Ace Hardware. He loved traveling with his motorcycle group to the four corners of the United States. He was a kind, humble, witty, loving son, husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Joan Leonards Mouton of Rayne; two daughters, Annie M. Trahan of Rayne and Kathryn M. Hormell and spouse Ben of Crowley; five grandchildren, Max Trahan, Kate Trahan, Ally Trahan, Isaac Hormell and William Hormell; parents, Raymond Nathan Mouton and Dorothy Domingue Mouton of Rayne; three sisters, Mary M. Terro of Rayne, Ann M. Savoy and spouse Gaynal of Crowley and Louise M. Vidrine and spouse Cody of Ville Platte; three brothers, Nathan I. Mouton and spouse Sheila of Rayne, Paul L. Mouton and spouse Sharisse of Scott and Raymond J. Mouton and spouse Sherry of Rayne; mother-in-law, Louise T. Landry of Rayne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parternal grandparents, Nathan and May Mouton; maternal grandparents, Mabel and Isaac Domingue; father in law, Raymond Leonards; and step-father-in-law, F.E. Landry Jr.
Pallbearers will be Nathan I. Mouton, Paul L. Mouton, Raymond J. Mouton, Gaynal Savoy, Cody Vidrine and Phillip Vidrine.
A Rosary will be prayed Monday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Monday, April 15, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 16, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
