Lydia Trahan Kebodeaux
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, in the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Lydia Trahan Kebodeaux, 83, who died Friday, March 15, 2019, in Rayne.
Pastor Bruce Runner will officiate for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours be held Sunday, March17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, March 18, from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be in Kie Hebert Cemetery.
Mrs. Kebodeaux is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lawrence Allen Kebodeaux of Rayne; two daughters, Paula Kebodeaux Rigsby and husband Calvin of Morse and Myra Kebodeaux Fontenot and husband Bernice of Rayne; one son, Larry Allen Kebodeaux and wife Kay of Morse; one sister, Lillie Trahan Notestein of Jennings; one brother, Ernest “E.J.” Trahan, Jr. and wife Peggy of Roberts Cove; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Susie Ewing Trahan; three sisters, Lucille T. Murphy, Wilmer T. Miller, and Dorthy T. Simon; and five brothers, John Trahan, William Trahan, Lenis Trahan, Steve Trahan, and Rayford Trahan.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Aertker and his staff, the staff of the Ellington of Rayne, and Hospice Compassus and their staff for the exceptional care Mrs. Kebodeaux received while under their care.

Joseph Wayne “Tee Wayne” Abshire
Joseph Wayne “Tee Wayne” Abshire, a native of Kaplan and resident of St. Amant, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the age of 51.
Tee Wayne was a loving and generous man, who loved spending time and cooking for his family and friends. He was the owner of Tee Wayne’s Cajun Cooking Restaurant and Catering and enjoyed participating in cooking competitions. He had an outgoing personality and was willing to help anyone, even complete strangers, any way he could.
Tee Wayne is survived by his loving fiancé, Ashley Paxton Duncan; children, Mary and Matthew Abshire; stepsons, Cole and Cade Duncan; mother, Effie Rose Broussard Abshire; and former wife, Christy Abshire; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Tee Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Abshire, and sister, Aline Abshire Hoffpauir.
Visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales on Wednesday, March 13, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation resumed on Thursday, March 14, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Kaplan from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Interment followed at Abshire Cemetery in Kaplan.
