Hilman Nolan

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Hilman Nolan Sr., 81, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley with Rev. Brent Smith as celebrant.
Visitation will be held in the Duhon Funeral Home - Crowley Chapel on Monday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until just prior to the service time.
Entombment will follow the church service and will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
Mr. Nolan passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.
Mr. Nolan raised his family in Branch for almost 40 years. He served his country in the Korean Conflict and also the Viet Nam War with the U.S. Navy. He was also an active member of St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. For most of his professional career he was employed by the City of Lafayette as an electrician.
In his later years he also spent most of his time with his beloved dog, Jackie, who passed away last week. He lovingly called her “Pooch” and loved her with all of his heart.
He is survived by his children, Hilman Nolan Jr. of Duson, Patrick Nolan and wife Lisa of Lafayette, and Angela N. Davis and husband Bobby of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Quatrone and husband Lee of Arnaudville, Alyssa Minchew and husband Chad of Houston, Texas and Hunter Hutchinson of The Colony, Texas; great-grandchildren, Aidan Minchew, Arabella Applewhite, Able Quatrone, Annabelle Quatrone and Francis Quatrone; sisters, Ethel Johnson of Groves, Texas, Frances Abshire of Elizabeth, and Shirley Broussard of Scott.
Mr. Nolan was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Agnes LeBeouf Nolan; parents, Louis Nolan and Fanalee Thibodeaux Nolan; two brothers, Nelson Nolan and Burley Nolan; and two sisters, Sandy Bearb and Audrey Melancon.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Nolan, Hilman Nolan Jr., Bobby Davis, Hunter Hutchinson, Chad Minchew and Roderick Fuselier.

Jennifer Elkins Rinow

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado, for Jennifer Elkins Rinow, 39, who died on Oct. 15, 2018, in Parker, Colorado.
Jennifer was a graduate of Colorado University at Denver in Business Management and was employed in management for multi-family housing.
Jennifer loved playing tennis, cooking and reading.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jeff Rinow; one son, Rider; two daughters, Grace and Mila; her mother, Diane Bollich Elkins; one brother Lance Elkins; five sisters Skye Mitchell, Trish Elkins, Lorie Wadleigh, Robyn Streeks and Courtney Sinclair; along with numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Lane Elkins; maternal grandparents, Frank and Barbara Zaunbrecher Bollich; and her paternal grandparents, Joe and Mildred Elkins.
