Betty Morgan Thevis

Rayne - Funeral services were held Monday, June 30, at 10 am at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Betty Morgan Thevis, 83, who died Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Rayne.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
The Very Rev. Clint Trahan, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Barre, was the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conducted the funeral service.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Antoinette Morgan and Patsy Morgan; brother-in-law Edward (Sally) Thevis; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert A. Thevis; her parents, Archie and Amanda Dupont Morgan; four brothers, James “Jimmy” Morgan, Milton “Sonny” Morgan, Weldon Morgan and Edmond Morgan; two sisters, Katherine M. Guidry and Melba M. Mizell.
Serving as pallbearers were Don Alleman, Paul Dupont, Steve Dupont, Zachary Thevis, Hudson LeBlanc and Holden LeBlanc.
Visitation was held Sunday June 29, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 6 p.m. and continued Monday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made in Betty’s memory to the Way Training Center, Attn: Gerard Morgan, 1826 N. Avenue G, Crowley LA 70526; or to Haseya’s New Beginning Animal Rescue, 1321 Section St., Rayne LA 70578
