Wolves even district slate, Ladies fall in stretch

The Wolves took a lead late in the ballgame and held on for a 7-2 districy win over Leesville High.
The win evened Rayne’s district slate at 2-all mid-way through the 2017 season.

Notre Dame shortstop Collin Kirsch tags out Rayne’s Hunter Meche on a steal attempt during the Pios’ 9-5 victory over the Wolves at Gossen Park’s Legion Field. The Pios return to action this evening when they play host to Class 5A Sam Houston at Miller Stadium. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m.

Notre Dame rallies past Rayne in rivalry game

RAYNE – The Rayne Wolves came out swinging Wednesday in their non-district rivalry contest against Notre Dame at Legion Field.
