Winners of the Rice and Creole Cookery Contest held Friday, Oct. 20 at the LSU AgCenter were recognized that afternoon on the main festival platform. Taking part in the recognition were, from left, Amber Menard, Rice and Creole Cookery Contest co-chair; Adult Tri-Color Winner Greta Lindsey; Rice and Creole Cookery Contest co-chair Letha Vincent; Intermediate Tri-Color Winner Libby Fontenot; Michael Klein with USA Rice; Junior Chef de Riz and Children’s Tri-Color Winner Avery Villejoin; and Chef de Riz and Teen Tri-Color Winner Alex Welch. There were 134 dishes entered in the contest.
