EUNICE - Three Eunice residents were arrested after holding an Acadia Parish Sheriff’s deputy captive for nearly an hour.
Beta students of Branch Elementary School attended the 2023 National Beta Convention in Louisville, Kentucky where they represented the school and Acadia Parish with honors. Hudson and Eli Lormand held a cookie and lemonade sale in Atwood Akers to benefit dog rescues. They donated to Precious Paw Prints Rescue so they pay for surgery on a dog that had been hit by a car. Receiving the donation is Jamie Amie, director of PPPR. Precious Paw Prints is a rescue based out of Crowley that helps many local homeless pets.
