The Crowley Art Association is celebrating Youth Art Month with a special gala and exhibit to showcase the art of Acadia Parish children. Youth Art Month (YAM) was founded to recognize the importance of the visual arts in the nation’s schools and to recognize the work of the students and their teachers. The Crowley Gallery will have on display art from several Acadia Parish schools, both public and private. The exhibit will open with a gala on Friday, March 3, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Crowley Gallery at 411 N. Parkerson Ave. Refreshments will be served and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the young artists and view their work. This event is open to the public.
