Crowley Fireman Jeron Abshire, from left, Crowley Garden Club members Carla Lambousy and Georgie Petitjean, and CFD Captain Garrick Ronkartz teamed up to plant flowers in two planters at the fire station memorial site recently. Together, they potted up the planters with potting soil and planted delphinium, trailing petunias and violas for the winter season. The garden club will fertilize and change out the plants seasonally. The Fire Department personnel will be keeping the plants watered — a job that comes naturally for them!
