ERATH – The Crowley Nationals overcame seven errors and an early 5-0 deficit to defeat the Rayne Shockers, 18-14, in their Mustang League Super Regional opener Friday.

Rayne all-star teams claim championships, move on in tournament play

DOUBLE WIN FOR RAYNE MUSTANG ALL-STARS - Members of both the Rayne Boys Mustang Outlaws (right) and Shockers (left) baseball teams comprised of all-star members of the 2014 Rayne Recreation summer league met in an all-Rayne finale for their South Zone Sectional Tournament, an oddity in all-star action. The Outlaws claimed the championship and the Shockers were awarded the runners-up banner during the championship game played Monday evening in Jennings. Both teams will participate in their super regional tournament this weekend in Erath.
